Who We Are

TOSA (SA Div) Inc is based at the Capri Theatre which is situated in Goodwood, an inner suburb of Adelaide, the capital city of South Australia.

The theatre is fully owned and operated by the Society as a commercial cinema and houses our 4/29 theatre organ, which is mainly a Wurlitzer. Our other organ, a 2/12 Wurlitzer, formerly located in Wyatt Hall, Pulteney Grammar School, Adelaide, is now being re-located.

The Capri Theatre was opened in 1941 as the Goodwood Star Theatre.

TOSA purchased the theatre in 1978 and has gradually renovated and restored much of the theatre to its 1941 Art-deco/Moderne style. The inaugural concert of the theatre organ was on Saturday, 2nd April, 1983.
